A career programme for leaders stepping-up to the challenge of connecting managing with leading.

This refreshed programme takes into account recent challenges, retaining key talent and leading sustainable organisational performance.

Stepping up

Transform from contributor to a high–performing team leader with the skills to inspire, engage and lead your people through organisational challenges.

This programme will provide essential knowledge and skills through a range of activities designed to build good leadership qualities and behaviours. Delegates will explore what leadership means in their world and will learn what is required to initiate change, whilst demonstrating resilience in today’s workplace.

Benefits / outcomes

Throughout the programme, participants will develop the tools, mindset and framework to achieve results through others. On completion they will be able to:

• understand how to articulate and demonstrate what is fundamentally important to be an effective leader

• discover a range of leadership techniques and methods and how to apply them in practice

• develop the confidence, knowledge and skill to be an effective leader

• understand what your leadership strengths are

• motivation of self and today's workforce

• harnessing cognitive diversity to achieve results

• people engagement and its impact on high performance

• utilising insights of self-discovery to connect with those you lead

• accountability and alignment of roles

Suitable for

Most participants have some management experience, while others are about to step-up to a leadership role.

Attendees include individuals who wish to adjust their leadership style and acquire new tools to lead effective teams.

Structure

• rolling programme: workshops, one-to-one coaching, peer support

• stories, mini-presentations, group exercises and discussions

• six half-day sessions; one every three to four weeks.
